I grew this plant from seed in 2024 and named it after my grandpup, Morticia, who was euthanized due to declining health. My daughter was her groomer and learned that her owners had dumped her at a kill shelter after getting a new puppy. Morticia was a senior with heart problems, skin conditions, and allergies, but she spent her final years surrounded by love as part of our family. Her passing hit my daughter very hard. Naming this plant in memory of Morticia brings her comfort,seeing how much everyone loves this plant reminds her of how deeply Morticia was loved too.
