Welcome to The Rooted Vine™ LLC, a small Hoya-growing business located in Omaha, Nebraska. I am a fifth-generation Hoya grower fulfilling my destiny. What began as a connection to my family’s growing history has developed into an extensive collection and a deep fascination with Hoya cultivation, propagation, identification, and preservation. I am also the founder of the Midwest Hoya Society and co-host of The Hoya Underground, a podcast devoted to thoughtful collecting, responsible propagation, plant health, naming clarity, and honest conversations within the Hoya community. My plants are grown indoors in controlled conditions and acclimated to normal household humidity whenever possible. I use beneficial insects and PureCrop as part of my pest-management practices. Because beneficials are used regularly, your plant may arrive with a few tiny, helpful passengers. Please message me before shipping if you would prefer that beneficial insects be removed. My home greenhouse is not open to the public, but local pickup in Omaha may be available by prior arrangement. 🌿 The Rooted Vine™ Shop Guidelines • Plants ship from Omaha, Nebraska, through UPS 3-Day unless an upgraded shipping option is purchased. • UPS 2-Day and Next Day Air upgrades may be available through the shop. • Orders generally ship Monday through Wednesday, depending on weather, holidays, and carrier conditions. • California orders are shipped bare root or in a California-compliant soil-free substrate when required. • Please review the weather in both Omaha and your delivery location before purchasing. • Insulation and heat packs must be purchased separately when needed. A heat pack is required when daytime temperatures are below 40°F. • Shipping upgrades, weather protection, and order holds must be purchased separately unless otherwise stated in the listing. • Orders may be held during unsafe temperatures. Please contact me before purchasing if you need a specific shipping date. • Significant shipping overages will be refunded whenever possible. • I do not recommend shipping live plants to a P.O. box. Orders delivered to a P.O. box are not eligible for my live-arrival guarantee. • Please confirm that your District shipping address is complete and correct before your order is shipped. 🌱 Live-Arrival Guarantee Shipping is stressful for living plants. Minor cosmetic damage, temporary wilting, yellowing, or the loss of an older leaf can occur during transit and does not necessarily indicate that a plant is unhealthy. Live arrival is guaranteed only when all applicable requirements are met: • UPS 2-Day or Next Day Air shipping is used. • Appropriate insulation and heat protection are purchased when required by the weather. • The package is brought indoors promptly after delivery and is not left in direct sunlight, freezing temperatures, or extreme heat. • A clear, continuous unboxing video is recorded when the package is first opened. • Photos, video, and a description of the concern are provided within two hours of delivery. • The plant has not been repotted, propagated, treated, watered, or otherwise altered before the concern is reported. • The delivery address is not a P.O. box or package-forwarding service. When a plant arrives in poor condition and all guarantee requirements have been met, I will work with you toward an appropriate resolution. Depending on the circumstances and availability, this may include care guidance, a replacement of equal value, shop credit, or a refund. Carrier delays, weather emergencies, incorrect addresses, missed delivery attempts, and packages left outdoors after delivery may affect guarantee eligibility.
